Do you dream of a garden full of flowers or your own cutting patch? Growing your own flowers is a cost-effective and pleasurable way to achieve this. Early Spring is the perfect time to plan your flower beds and start sowing seeds.

This session is best suited to newbie growers/gardeners with little or no experience of sowing seeds, who would like to start growing flowers at home or on an allotment.

The session will focus on:

  • preparing your beds

  • planning what to grow

  • succession sowing and planting to ensure year-round colour

  • seed-sowing techniques

  • caring for seedlings

There will be both theoretical and practical elements and you will receive a printed handout with all the information to take away as well as your basic seed starting kit.
