Grow your Own Cut Flowers: Thursday 11th March, 10am-2pm

Do you dream of your own cutting patch so you can fill your home with flowers through the year? Growing your own flowers is a cost-effective and pleasurable way to achieve this. Early Spring is the perfect time to plan your flower beds and start sowing seeds, whether you have small garden or large plot.

This session is suitable for those new to growing flowers and sowing seeds and also those looking to extend their skills further.

The session will focus on:

• preparing your beds

• planning what to grow

• succession sowing and planting to ensure year-round availability

• seed-sowing techniques

• caring for seedlings

• watering and feeding plants to get the best blooms

• harvesting tips

There will be both theoretical and practical elements to the session and you will receive a printed handout with all the information to take away as well as your basic seed starting kit.
